Tournament Spread the Script points program was developed by Don Knuth and as approved by the United States Golf Association (TSSK, for short) has proven to be an equitable way to adjust handicaps for tournament play.

The Hack Attack Golf Club will begin using TSSK 5/1/2022. Points will begin to accumulate starting our May 2022 tournament.

Points will be awarded as described below for each tournament. The points for the prior 7 tournaments (approximately 1 years worth of tournaments) will be summed and used for possible handicap adjustments.

Points are awarded as follows: 1st=4 points, 2nd=3, 3rd=2, 4th=1.

In the case of a tie for one of the first 4 places, each of the individual will earn the full number of points for that placing. As an example: Two individuals tie for 2nd place. Each individual in 2nd place would earn 3 points under this system (points for 2nd and 3rd place do not get added together and divided by two, therefore no points are awarded for 3rd place under this scenario because no one finished in a 3rd place position). The next finisher in line after the two individuals that tied for 2nd place, the 4th place finisher, would earn 1 point. Fractional points are never awarded.
